TOXIC: Garbage Island

The following link is a CNN article about plastic in the ocean.  The article has a link to an excellent video that follows a crew of people who sail into a section of the Pacific notorious as a "collection point" if you will due to consistent currents.  Be aware that there are quite a few "sailor mouths" on this voyage and the language may not be suitable for children.  The CNN link does not have the entire video but there are links to VBS.TV which has part two and part three.  Be aware that these videos are quite lengthy and if you don't have a broadband connection (DSL, Cable, or Satellite) then you probably won't be able to watch them (though if you have dial-up you might be able to download them overnight using Downloadhelper or other similar software).  The quality of these videos when streamed is quite good.  Here is the CNN link: http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/americas/02/16/vbs.toxic.garbage.island/index.html
