Volunteer

The Cass County Sustainability Committee is a group of volunteers dedicated to providing information to the community and to addressing ways to promote environmental sustainability in Cass County. All our activities are dependent on obtaining volunteers to carry out these community projects.

Monitoring recycling centers at:

Belton (first full weekend each month)
Freeman (first full weekend each month)
Peculiar (second full weekend each month)
Drexel (third full weekend each month)
Garden City (fourth full weekend of each month)

The recycling centers are open 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each Saturday and Sunday and are monitored by volunteers working four-hour shifts (shorter shifts available for those who do not have four hours to give).

Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to noon
Saturday, noon to 4:00 p.m.
Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to noon
Sunday, noon to 4:00 p.m.
